Bid Factor
A bid factor is a tool to control bids on the SubID level. Increasing/decreasing the factor changes the bid based on the factor inputted.
- The default bid factor is 1 (equals to 1* campaign level CPC).
- To increase your bid, set a bid factor >1.
- To decrease your bid, set a bid factor <1.
- To pause a SubID, set bid factor to 0.
Editing Bid Factors
Bid Factors can be set from the SubID Summary report.
To access your SubID Summary, navigate to the campaign and select SubID Summary in the dropdown.
The SubID Summary provides reporting by SubID and the ability to edit bid factors.
To edit a SubId’s bid factor, click the edit button in the Bid Factor column and adjust the bid factor accordingly to achieve the desired bid.
In the Bid Factor column, you’ll also find suggested bids (if applicable) to win more traffic. Click the Suggested Bid button to apply the suggested bid.
SubID Status
For the status of the SubIDs, click the Bid Factors Button in the SubID Summary.
Each SubID will have a colour based on it’s status.
- Green: Indicates recent activity, with clicks or requests recorded from the SubID within the last 7 days for the specified domain.
- Yellow: Indicates previous activity from the SubID within the last 30 days for the specified domain, but none within the last 7 days.
- Red: Indicates no of activity for the SubID for over 30 days for the specified domain. This can be due to several factors:
- The SubID stopped sending traffic
- The bid is too low; increasing it may help gain lost traffic
